Marked “A.C.F. Decorated in Hong Kong,” this piece was part of a wave of postwar Asian export ware, prized for its quality and vivid hand-painted finish. A.C.F. (short for "Art China Factory") was known for adapting traditional Chinese decorative styles to the Western appetite for collectible ceramics during the 1950s–70s.
