A striking piece of mid-century charm, this vintage ceramic divided dish brings a sculptural, organic touch to your collection. Shaped like a narrow canoe with a pointed bow and gently squared stern, the interior features a soft celadon-toned crackle glaze with subtle zigzag texture—reminiscent of rippling water or woven reeds. The exterior is finished in a warm, glossy brown glaze with a wave-like embossed pattern, adding to its coastal-meets-rustic appeal.

Divided into two sections, this piece was likely intended for small servings—soy sauce and pickled ginger, olives and nuts, or even tea-light candles and sand for a meditative vignette. Perfect for styling on an open shelf, atop a stacked book moment, or anchoring a coastal tablescape.

No maker’s mark; likely Japanese or California studio-made, circa 1950s–1970s.

Dimensions: Approx. 9.5” long x 4.5” wide x 2” tall
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with light crazing throughout and a few tiny glaze pops and pinholes typical of its age. No chips or cracks.
