A utilitarian classic with uncommon character, this vintage enamel coffee pot was made in Germany by J. & H.K.—a known manufacturer of durable housewares during the mid-20th century.
 
Finished in a rich oxblood glaze with a cream enamel interior, the form is all function: a tall cylindrical body, angular handle, and long spout for steady pours.
 
The underside is stamped with an eagle crest flanked by anchor and sword motifs—symbols often found on German naval or institutional goods—and marked J. & H.K. 
 
Signs of field use include a heat-worn handle, enamel scuffs, and light rust patina—all consistent with decades of honest labor. Still structurally sound and ready to display.
