This handcrafted studio pottery bowl is signed “Boots” and dated 2009. It was acquired from the Palos Verdes estate of Eva Kolosváry-Stupler, the celebrated Hungarian-American artist known for her assemblage work and her MFA background from Cal State Long Beach.
The piece features a beautifully nuanced glaze, with forest green on the exterior and a rich indigo pooling inside. With its softly flared rim, trimmed foot, and timeless silhouette, this bowl embodies the thoughtful craftsmanship that defined California’s postwar ceramics movement.
Whether created by a peer, colleague, or fellow CSULB-affiliated artist, this is a soulful, one-of-a-kind object with meaningful provenance—ideal for collectors of West Coast pottery, artist estates, and design with story.
Approx. 5" diameter x 1.5" deep.
