c. 1950s · Made in USA · McCoy Art Pottery
This is the kind of piece collectors keep an eye out for. Known as the "petal" or "celery" basket, this mid-century McCoy planter doesn’t show up often—especially not in this condition.
Boldly sculpted with a braided handle and rippled rim, it features a high-relief design and rich dripped glazes in earthy greens, warm browns, and soft buttery yellow.
Stamped McCoy USA on the base, this 1950s original is free of any crazing, chips, or cracks. It’s a beautifully preserved example of American studio-style production pottery at a time when everyday objects still came with a bit of flair.
Style it as a standalone sculptural accent, or use it to hold fresh greenery, dried stems
